NADIA S. SAYS…

Do you know what I mean?

Rock appeal, tight dress and flat boots…

now, where’s my Edward to suck the life out of me?

I’m usually NOT a funny person.
Everytime I try to make a single joke, I fail.
My laughter, however, is quite strange and amusing…
And I’m constantly doing it!

That being said,
this joke about Kristen Stewart and all the Twilight Saga was spontaneous.
Don’t get me wrong.
I have read all the books and found the story lovely and oh-so-cute
and sure I smiled at the books a couple of times,
but I would NEVER say the plot was any good.
Childish and immature.
And yeah, I do believe that it makes our young girls a little too…
hum…passive-agressive.

Anyway, I hold nothing against Kristen’s style.
I actually realize after taking these that the way I paired
this dress from Madam Rage was quite her thing.
Speaking of which, it has an amazing fitting!
New Eve, anyone?

Moving pass that,
a week of good-byes and birthday parties await me.

What about yours?

Madam Rage in More Magazine

This week’s addition of more magazine features Vampy fashion. Showing us how we can mix textures such as velvet, lace and crochet to create looks that are considerably cooler than the traditional goth’ vamp look that I remember from my teen years ( you know what I mean … the masses of black eye shadow, black lipstick and full length PU coats and some shambles of an outfit constituting of charity shop maxi dresses mixed with 10 year old Dr Martins)

Madam Rage in More Magazine

To re-create this look use our crochet cream dress mixed with some velvet leggings, and a statement copped jacket, and who could forget your favourite sky-scrapper heels! ..P.A.R.T.Y perfection!!

X-Factor final is here

You know its almost Christmas when the X-Factor final is here, the question is who will you be voting for? Here at Madam Rage HQ we know who our favourites are… Little mix!

Although they started the live shows as rank outsiders to win, Little Mix have turned public opinion by churning out a series of memorable performances over the past few weeks not only for their vocals but for their individual, unique style.

We saw this as an opportunity and have been sending the X-factor styling team dresses week on week. We were lucky enough to dress Perrie on Halloween night! – she wore the Black Crochet Dress check out the pictures –

We are so excited to support the girls in the final and cant wait to see which superstar they will duet with …will it be One Direction? Jessie J or even Tulisa herself????

Either way we salute them for being ‘real’ girls and hope they keep it that way!

Let us know who you will be voting for?

Let it Snow!

December throws up all kinds of style dilemmas.

If it’s not party wear, it’s how to stay warm enough without compromising your fashion credentials. The latest style quandary I’ve stumbled across is the day-to-night office Christmas party outfit. This year, our office will be following the trend that seems to be sweeping the nation – we’re off to the Christmas markets for mulled wine and Christmas sing-alongs. This is great, but it means dressing for three different occasions in one!

You need something that’s glam enough to be considered party-worthy, but that isn’t so dressed up that you feel out of place at a more casual Christmas gathering. It’s also worth thinking about where the night might take you and having those little things to hand that will help you make the transition from being dressed to impress for the office to being dressed to kill for the dance floor.

Lucky for you, the lovely ladies at Madam Rage have this all sewn up for us with this amazing snowflake print sheer dress.

Snowflake Belted Dress

The dress is one of those rare gems that seem to cover off so many of the key looks of the AW11 season whilst still being easy to wear. The skater-style skirt and fitted waist are both bang on trend and hugely flattering, whilst the colour gives a nod to those boozy wine hues that have been all over the catwalk and the high street for the last few months.
What I love most about this piece is that it lends itself brilliantly to being dressed up or down. For the office and the Christmas markets, I’m planning to wear it with leggings, long boots and one of my must-have accessories this season; a chunky knitted circle scarf.

Snowflake Belted Dress

Now, if I know my office, I’m guessing the Christmas market won’t be the only place we end up so it’s a good thing that the dress is versatile enough for me to glam things up for a club. All I need to do is style it up for the dance floor with a sexy pair of black court shoes, a clutch bag, smoky eye makeup and tousled hair.

And those of you who’re feeling festive won’t have failed to notice the awesome snowflake print on this dress. Fair Isle prints and Christmas-style jumpers and dresses have been spotted on anyone worth their fashion know-how this year. However, if you’re not quite ready to look like you just stepped out of a 1970s Christmas card, this dress is a fabulous way to give a subtle nod to this trend.

Snowflake Belted Dress

The dress also comes with a cute detachable belt to give it a bit of a vintage feel. I can imagine my current style crush, Caroline Flack from the Xtra Factor, wearing this for post-work festive drinks with her celeb pals.

Snowflake Belted Dress

I doubt I’ll bump into her at the Christmas market but at least I’ll feel like a celeb in this dress!

Look out for more of my favourite picks from the new AW11 Madam Rage collection coming soon. I’ve got tips for party wear, work wear and much more up my stylish sleeves…

Stay fabulous!

Blogger crush: Rosie-Glow

Here at Madam Rage we are on the look out for talented bloggers to rate and review some of our best selling pieces. We loved the Rosie-glow blog so were pleased when she accepted our offer of being our first ever blogger! Here is what she had to say about a couple of pieces:

3/4 Sleeve Belted Lace Dress

I was sent this gorgeous dress from Madam Rage last week and I’ve wanted to wear it every day since! As you’ve probably noticed, I am obsessed with the colour burgundy at the moment, so obviously I can’t get enough of this dress. Little lace dresses have been a trend for a while now, and this one was perfect for me to get on the bandwagon with! I love it with this floppy hat from New Look for a bit of a 70s vibe and I vamped it up a bit with these old JC Lita-style boots from Topshop.

I first spotted the brand Madam Rage in New Look’s concessions sections – the Manchester New Look has a great range of concessions selling in it, and the gorgeous wearable trends of Madam Rage really caught my eye. They’re in the process of re-vamping their website at the moment, but their online store is still full of afforable and gorgeous goodies so check out the collection here. I was also sent some more amazing items from them, so there will be more gracing my blog soon! Happy shopping

Sequin Lace Back Dress

I was sent this absolutely stunning dress from Madam Rage last week and wore it to go out in that same night! I am like a magpie for shiny things, and come winter I can just never get enough sequins in my wardrobe!! I think this dress probably photographs a lot more shiny than it looks in real life – I was worried it would look too dressy (I’m far more of a casual-wear clubber normally) but it actually just looks really cool. It helps that it’s a little baggy on me – I much prefer that with the sequins than I would if it was skin tight! I just piled on some grungy rings and a statement necklace to keep it on the ‘cool’ side and I ended up really loving this look! The best thing about this dress is the gorgeous lace panelled back – it’s so sexy but I don’t think it’s in too obvious way which is how I like it! As you can tell, I am totally in love with this dress (as were my housemates when I walked down the stairs to go out!) – it’ll definitely be my look of choice for this winter’s party season!

Sheer Spot Blouse

I think this gorgeous polka dot blouse from Madam Rage gives it a girly, this-season twist – the sheer fabric keeps it fashion forward, but it makes the skirt more wearable by giving it a softer edge! I love it. The shape of the blouse is really great too, with its balloon sleeves. It looks fab just worn over jeans for a slouchier look too. Although I am getting slightly worried by the amount of burgundy in my wardrobe these days…. I can’t get enough of it though!
